Greff Motors:A Legacy of Excellence

Founded in 1963 by Leon J. Greff, Jr., Greff Motors has been a cornerstone of automotive excellence in Metairie, Louisiana, and beyond. Leon, a Korean War veteran and former crew chief at Okinawa Air Force Base, brought his passion for precision engineering to the forefront when he established the first independent Porsche repair center in the Gulf South.

In the 1960s, Leon’s expertise extended beyond the workshop as he dominated drag racing circuits, setting national records with the NHRA in various categories. Later, Greff Motors, also known as Delta Motors, became the exclusive Alfa Romeo dealership in New Orleans before refocusing solely on Porsche in 1980.

 

The legacy continued with Randy Greff, who joined the family business at age 15 and quickly immersed himself in Porsche engineering and racing. From autocrossing to the SCCA GT1 and IMSA Firehawk Series, Randy’s racing career exemplifies Greff Motors’ commitment to performance and excellence. Check out his impressive track record:

• 1995 Mardi Gras du Grand Prix 911 GT2 IMSA (7th)
• Randy raced his Porsche 996 GT3 CUP in Porsche Club Racing Series and has consistently finished in the top 3 in 2008.

• 2008 Porsche Club Race Texas World (1st)
• 2008 Porsche Club Race Barber Motorsports Park (1st)
• 2008 Porsche Club Race Virginia (2nd)

Randy and his wife, Terri, are also charter members of the Mardi Gras Region Porsche Club.

  In June 2006, Greff Motors moved into its latest triumph, an 11,000-square-foot state-of-the-art service, sales, and repair facility. Its 2400-square-foot contemporary showroom is home to the mural that commemorates the accomplishments of Leon Jr. and Randy. The service department has seven bays and is outfitted with all the latest diagnostic equipment.
